We are seeking reliable EMS professionals whom are friendly, compassionate, and believe in our mission to provide safe and consistent medical transport to our nation’s veterans. While skills testing and a depth of knowledge in EMS are important, the personality traits and professionalism of our staff are equally as important to us.

Requirements for employment consideration

  • Current California State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) licensure
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • Current Ambulance Drivers License
  • Current DL-51 (DOT Medical)
  • Clean driving record (must provide DMV K4 printout)
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass drug screening (as a federal contractor Journey participates in random drug screening for ALL employees)
 

Our hiring process

  • Review of required resume’ and licenses
  • Written aptitude testing
  • Oral interview
  • Skills testing
  • Second oral interview

Our selection of candidates is based on a numerical scoring system whereas each component of our hiring process is given a value range. Each manager scores each candidate in each area and if the total score is above the allowable threshold, a conditional offer of employment may be given.
